Designing With Purpose: How The Big Pitcher Reflects Love and Wellness

“Design is loving others.” – Young Kim, founder of b8ta Stores

How refreshing it is to hear something that resonates so deeply. When Lee and I began our journey to create a product that would safely and efficiently infuse oxygen into drinking water, we had no idea what that process would involve. After all, how many of us “ordinary folks” have developed a kitchen appliance that would become a must-have health and wellness tool?

Now, 20+ years later, Young Kim’s statement puts things into perspective. It reminds us that the errors, rejections, and rollercoaster ride of small business aren’t as important as the love and purpose behind what we do. The Big Pitcher wasn’t just built to function—it was designed to serve. And we truly do love our customers. This product is a gift of health and care to everyone who owns one.

Note: While our product was once featured at b8ta.com and in their experiential retail stores across the U.S., please note that b8ta officially closed all U.S. locations as of February 18, 2022. We are proud to continue offering The Big Pitcher nationwide through our online store, with operations based in Richmond, TX.

Designing with love and purpose—that’s always been our mission.
